Katherine R. Van Wagner is a graduate of the South Texas College of Law

graduate of South Texas College of Law (now renamed Houston College of Law).

Katherine focuses her law practice mostly on contractual, property, and business related matters.

Before attending law school, Katherine earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Texas A&M University.

In law school, Katherine honed her legal research and writing skills serving as a Research Assistant to her Legal Research & Writing Professor and was initiated into Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Fraternity, an academic fraternity with membership based on academic achievement in law school.  During law school, she also discovered a passion for alternative dispute resolution methods by participating in a Mediation Clinic and studying International Alternative Dispute Resolution during a summer abroad.  She is a certified mediator through the Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution.

Prior to joining the Firm, Katherine gained valuable legal and title experience doing due diligence and stand-up title as a Landman, writing Title Opinions at a Houston-based Oil & Gas Law Firm, and working in-house at Oil & Gas companies.  Katherine will utilize her knowledge and experience in business, contract, and property law to help clients navigate the issues and avoid the pitfalls associated with often complicated contractual and title issues.  She is delighted to be starting the next chapter in her career with Frye, Oaks, Benavidez & O’Neil, PLLC, and is proud to be part of a team actively championing equal legal rights and respect for ALL human beings.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, volunteering with Pup Squad Animal Rescue, watching college football (Gig ‘Em Aggies!), and exploring Houston’s vibrant food scene.
